  1. The strongest women in my life is my mother. My father had 1 tour in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam while my Mother took care of 5 children. She keep control of us and had to be both parents while he was gone. Her strength has always gotten our family through anything including the death of my father. She carried on and raised us never complaining and working harder than anyone I have ever seen. She is 82 now and although we are all grown, married, and live in different states she still has a way of making any situation better. I love her for being so strong and setting such a great example for my sister and my brothers to follow.

  3. My mother was the strongest woman in my life. She faced cancer and survived; numerous surgeries ; lost my dad in 1979; and worked for 36 years before retiring. She always planned on seeing 100 but a faulty knee replacement poisoned her system and she lost her battle at 91 yrs and 4 months this past March 19, 2014. She chose how she wanted to go and did not want my brother or I to have to make any choices that would haunt us and chose Hospice about 24 hours before she died. She was a mom to the end worrying about us traveling back and forth to the hospital. I miss her terribly as she was also my friend and running buddy!

  4. My mother was so important to my upbringing. I was adopted but always felt as a natural daughter to the best, smartest, kindest woman around. She guided me through all my years and for that, I have the pleasure of being a wife, mother, grandmother and now a great grandmother...Thank you Mom...

  7. My Nana is a strong woman in my life. She went partially deaf in her late 20's and about 12 years ago lost her sense of taste & smell after a brain aneurysm. She has never let any of those circumstances bring her down. She has such a great outlook on life and is such an encouragement to me.

  8. My mom is the strongest woman in my life. She raised me and my two sisters on her own with no support from my father. She worked 2 jobs and went back to school to be an LPN. And yet she made time to be at my tennis matches, to make dinner for us, to be there for a shoulder to cry on. Now that I have a job and am able to, I love to spoil her. She deserves it so much.
